Interventional Endoscopy Associates PLLC is the first and only practice in Arizona exclusively dedicated to the field of advanced endoscopy. With three locations in Peoria, Scottsdale, and Phoenix, Arizona, Teodor Pitea, MD, Rawad Mounzer, MD, and their team have extensive experience in managing many acute and chronic complex gastrointestinal disorders.
As a premier, advanced endoscopy practice, Interventional Endoscopy Associates PLLC provides patients with high quality complex endoscopic interventions. The team provides treatments for conditions including pancreatic cancer, acute and chronic pancreatitis, Barrett’s esophagus, large colon polyps, achalasia, esophageal cancer, Zenker's diverticulum, pancreatic duct stones, bile duct stones, and bile duct cancer. Some of the procedures they offer include endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), double-balloon enteroscopy, and peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM). They offer comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care.
Dr. Pitea and Dr. Mounzer have performed thousands of advanced endoscopic procedures with outcomes that meet or surpass national benchmarks for quality in endoscopy. They have also remained active in clinical research and have published several abstracts at national conferences.
